E.Coli O157 PCR Detection Kit
Escherichia coli O157 is a bacterial infection that can cause diarrhoea, kidney failure and stomach pain. E. coli is found in the gut and droppings of animals. It can be caught by eating contaminated food, touching infected animals, contact with people who have E. coli infection and drinking water from untreated water supplies.

People often experience and notice the symptoms 3-4 days after they have been infected but symptoms can last up to two weeks. Very rarely, people with E. coli infection develop a serious condition called haemolytic uraemic syndrome (HUS). This can also lead to death or kidney failure. People who are ages under five years are at the highest risk.
