Border Disease Virus PCR Detection Kit

Border Disease Virus (BDV) is a small RNA virus that primarily affects sheep and, to a lesser extent, goats. It belongs to the Pestivirus genus, which also includes Bovine Viral Diarrhoea Virus (BVDV) and Classical Swine Fever Virus (CSFV). BDV can cause Border Disease (BD) in sheep, characterized by a range of clinical signs including reproductive disorders, poor growth, immunosuppression, and congenital abnormalities in lambs born to infected ewes. The virus can be transmitted vertically from an infected ewe to her offspring or horizontally through direct contact with contaminated materials or animals.
