Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The bacteria usually attack the lungs, but TB bacteria can attack any part of the body such as the kidney, spine, and brain. As a result, two TB-related conditions exist: latent TB infection (LTBI) and TB diseases.

The Zena Max MTB kit reaches up 20 IU/ml (rxn volume 25ul) under our validation methods and devices. The specificity of the AMD MTB assay is up to 100% for M. tuberculosis under our validation methods and devices.
