Mycoplasma genitalium is a small bacteria-like organism that can infect the genital and urinary tracts of humans. It is considered a sexually transmitted infection (STI) and is associated with various urogenital health issues. M. genitalium can cause symptoms similar to other STIs, including pain during urination and sexual intercourse, as well as discharge. It can also lead to more severe conditions such as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) in women.
