Zena Max – Human Herpesvirus – 6 (HHV-6) PCR Detection Kit CE-IVD
Overview.
Human herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6) is a beta herpesvirus that is closely related to human cytomegalovirus. Primary infection with HHV-6 usually occurs in infants between 6 months to 1 year old, and is usually characterised by malaise, inflamed tympanic membranes, and gastrointestinal and respiratory tract symptoms, although febrile seizures have been reported in up to 10% of children, thus early diagnosis is essential.
- Easy to use One step Real-Time PCR Technology
- Compatible with most commonly used RT-PCR machines
- Results in around 40 min
- Specificity of up to 100% and Sensitive down to 10 copies per reaction
